Decorated Assyrian – Dekorált Asszír íj

This is a very intricately decorated Assyrian bow by Grózer. I worked on it for almost a month. I modelled the patterns on the decorations found on the walls lining the processional way leading to the Ishtar Gate in Babylon. One arm of the bow features a winged lion, while the other shows an Assyrian warrior. A lotus motif runs along the arm of the bow, becoming more fragmented and then disappearing, as if the bow itself were an archaeological find.
I made this bow to order, but it can also be purchased as a new Assyrian bow.

Ez egy nagyon aprólékosan díszített Grózer féle Asszír íj. Majdnem egy hónapig dolgoztam rajta. A mintákat a Babiloniából származó Istár kapuhoz vezető felvonulási utat szegélyező falakon megtalálható díszítésekről mintáztam. Az íj egyik karján a szárnyas oroszlán, a másikon egy asszír harcos látható. Az íj karján végigvonul a lótuszmotívum, amely szakadozottabbá válik, majd eltűnik, mintha az íj mage is egy régészeti lelet lenne.
Ezt az íjat megrendelésre készítettem, de rendelhető új asszír íj vásárlása esetén is.
